Very impressed with the Longhorns' win in Dallas; Colt isn't the QB that Chase Daniel is, but he is a leader and finds a way to win. Penn State moves up; I've been high on the Lions all year, but was still amazed at how easily they handled UW. Oklahoma only falls to No. 3, and Bama falls during the off week, but will have plenty of time to move back up - they're the class of the SEC right now. Noticeably absent: BYU - the only notch on their resume is crushing a hapless UCLA team that edged its way past hapless Tenn; the Utes are the better team of the Beehive State.

Comments:
" 1. Texas - Looks like the B12 is the class of college football this year.
2. Penn St - Yet to have a serious threat from an opponent. Looks like a PSU vs Texas in January
3. Okla. St - I'm a man and I'm 40 (well actually 41 now) and my team is damn good.
4. Alabama - As good as I thought the Tide was a few weeks ago, there opponents are proving to be less than average.
5. Oklahoma - Got to hope for some help now.
6. USC - Should have smooth sailing in the PAC 10 as it seems to be really weak.
7. BYU - Big showdown looms at the end of the season with Utah.
8. Texas Tech - They will get a blemish or maybe two down the stretch.
9. Florida - Looked good against suspect LSU team.
10. Utah - Mountain West should replace Big East in BCS.
11. Ohio St - Seems to have gotten things going.
12. Missouri - Missed the chance to lay claim to #1 with last nights loss.
13. Boise St - Could go undefeated.
14. Va. Tech - After getting Beamered by ECU, they have come back to become ACC favorites.
15. Georgia - With some help from Penn Wagers and crew (who should be doing PeeWee ball), beat an inept UT.
16. Kansas - Close to being undefeated"

Why would anyone rank USC ahead of UGA? Georgia's only loss comes to a team that is arguably the best in the nation while USC's loss comes from a PAC-10 bottom feeder... I don't understand.
ReplyDeleteWell I didn't, but if I had to guess, it's because USC plays in the PAC10, or Crap10, while UGA would have to win out, including the SEC Championship game. USC has a much easier road, and we all know the media, ESPN especially, gets off to putting them where they dont belong in polls. Basically its crap, but I can see how
