Pollsters Move USC to No. 1

In this week's college football poll, voters penalized Ohio State for the close win over the Ohio Bobcats. By dropping the Buckeyes, those few pollsters benefited Southern Cal - the Trojans picked up four first place votes, tying Georgia with the most in the poll. USC edged the Dawgs by two points and lay claim to the top spot for the first time ever.

Florida had the remaining five first place votes. Ohio State was dropped to seven. The Buckeyes travel to L.A. on Saturday to face Southern Cal in the most anticipated game of the early season.
