Injuries to Ohio State and UGA have me a little concerned, at least enough to move USC to number one, especially considering the beat down in Virginia. Not much to go on after week 1, besides Pat White's passing stats, Missouri's porous passing D, Texas playing with emotion, Auburn's inept O, and Alabama crushing Clemson, who I had at No. 5. Bama looked very impressive, but I wonder whether it was Clemson's standard choke with the pressure on. S.Car. looked horrible against NC ST, but still had a huge win. As Lou Holtz would say... sdhfsfsfhsff adfaf afdfjad f.

I hold true to my top 5 teams. Injuries to players at Georgia and Ohio St should make the games in a couple of weeks interesting. Missouri looked strong in their win over Illinois, but their defense will have to play much better throughout the season. There are not a lot of high profile games this week. Games that should be interesting: Southern Miss v Auburn and Miami v Florida. Great wins for Missouri and Alabama last week. The loss by Tennessee could come back to haunt the SEC later this year...

1. USC.
As much as I hate putting them there; they are my only high ranking team that played a decent team (ok calling UVA decent is a stretch but it wasn’t GA Southern).
2. Oklahoma.
Didn’t see the game but stats looked pretty good.
3. UGA.
Wow, a few injuries could hurt them.
4. OSU.
Same as above. Enjoy your time here; after USC adios…
5. Florida.
Hope Hawaii enjoyed their glory…it left with Brennan and Jones.
6. Mizzou.
Nice win.
7. Wisconsin.
Validated why I have them this high
8. LSU.
Hope all the Mountaineers made it back from there ok.
9. Texas Tech.
All I hear about is how they are going to rack up 5,000 yards per game and this Harrell kid is going to win the Heisman???
10. Texas.
Still hate them.
11. Auburn.
They beat ULM we didn’t. Injuries look to be a problem for them as well
12. Alabama.
Wow, I love me some Mark Ingram…and Terrence Cody.
13. Arizona State.
They probably should drop more. But I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
14. BYU.
Way to take care of Northern Iowa …congrats.
15. Oregon.
I want to go to a game out there.
16. Wake Forest.
Riley Skinner played a good game (I know it was at Baylor; but judging by what I saw from the ACC on Sat. that may be one of their toughest games all year).

Solid game against a maybe good opponent but nothing like USC..still the champs though
3. Georgia
Not too impressed so far and the injuries really hurt

May have a legit 2 QB threat this year, however our back 7 may be challenged this season. Oregon State has some fantastic WR's, so we'll see how they match up this week against the secondary. Hurricane Hanna may also have a serious effect on this game as well come Saturday which could seriously slow down the passing game allowing us to simply run down their throats.
10. Missouri (
I liked what I saw against Illinois...these guys may win the B12
11. Texas
12. Arizona St
13. Texas Tech
14. Alabama
Wow...they looked impressive against Clemson
15. UCLA
Gotta love the effort of a 3rd string QB against a legitimate (maybe) opponent...what a game last night!
16. Kansas
God I love this time of year. I missed my first Penn State home opener in over 10 years this past weekend. I was supposed to attend the wedding of a good friend of mine until I decided it would be a good idea to practically surgically remove the end of my left thumb with a chef's knife. Ambulance ride and a few stitches later I ended up doing nothing Saturday. Kinda funny.

Hello College Football, and how about them Jackets?? Here's this weeks poll with some additional grades/comments
How Ugly is Holly Rowe, I mean Really?? Who is she sleeping with at ESPN headquarters? And for that matter, who would sleep with her??
1 Ohio St. - A+
WOW, Tell me how huge Pryor is? Obviously this is the team to beat in the Big10, Solid play on all sides of the ball. With their weak schedule, they beat USC, hello National Title game. All this is contingent on Wells getting back out there though
2 UGA - A-
Defense is built like a rock and was punishing Ga Southern. Moreno looked like a Heisman contender, and Stafford held his own. Will need to beat a real team to know just how good this team is.
3 Oklahoma - A
50 Points? In the first half? Are you Kidding? Holding any team to under 50 yards total offense is awesome, and obviously the offense was clicking.
4 LSU - A+
Huge win against a Quality Opponent, Looked Like a Title Contender, but the passing game has to improve in order to compete in SEC games
5 USC - A+
Defense gave up a measly 32 yards rushing, and while Virginia's passing game found some holes, overall this was a defensive destruction by the Trojans. Match that up with Sanchez, and the work he did behind the ball (People will be talking Heisman contender after this) and this could be a National Title Contender
6 Flordia - A
Better Late than Never. Slow start, but the running game looks ridiculous, and that's without Tebow's help. Defense is playing lights out, forcing 6 TOs. Classic SEC defense needs to end up being the strength of this team.
7 Missouri - B-
Offensive Points galore, and Chase Daniel looked like the Heisman Hype. However, the defense had plenty of holes and gave up a whole month's worth of yards to a good Illinois team. The defense is going to have to pick it up, but for now the offense has plenty of weapons
8 Auburn - B
Defense looked good early on, and could definitely give some SEC teams trouble. The Offense was so-so, especially the passing game. Luckily the running game looks like it can carry the load... for now
9 West Virginia - C+
Pat White looked great with 5 TDs, and while this got a W, it was not too pretty. The defense gave up way to many yards to a mediocre at best Villanova Squad. While the offense put up enough points, this was not the best way to start
10 Texas - B+
Well Colt McCoy and the Longhorns came out on all cylinders, and the Offense looks like it'll be putting up some numbers all season. Defense got off to a slow start, but it looks like it can hold its own
11 Wisconsin - C+
Running game looks good, but the defense has too many holes. An overall poor showing against a mediocre Akron team
12 Kansas - B
Didn't get to see any of this one, but it looks like the Jayhwaks played okay. Defense must've played well, but the passing game must be clearly on its way.
13 Arizona St. - B-
Again didn't see it, but it looks like they jumped out to an early lead and held on to it, but the defense looks like it gave up plenty of yards to a very mediocre team. Second team or not, 308 yards is too many.
14 Alabama - A+
Complete domination of a plenty over-ranked Clemson team. The defense held the "Thunder and Lightning" to 1 yard total rushing. Whether or not this was just a domination by Alabama of a good team, or not will have to be seen as the season moves on. But for now, this team looks Really Good
15 Texas Tech - B-
Regardless of how much offense you can put up, you have to be able to play defense. You can't give up 350+ yards, and 24 points to a very weak football team.
16 Penn State - A+
This may be an overranking this early, but 66 points against anyone shows you have an offense that can deliver. Can PSU live up to the early hype? We'll find out next week against a much better Oregon St team.

1. Florida
Struggled early, poured it on late
2. USC
Hoo knows anything based playing a putrid UVA team
3. Georgia
Injuries beginning to pile up
4. Oklahoma
Pasting weak teams like the good old days
5. Ohio State
Did ESPN mention something about Beenie Wells getting hurt?
6. LSU
Guess the Tigers are 1st place in the SoCon now
7. Missouri
Only top ten team to start w/ a real opponent
8. West Virginia
Somebody has to win the BigEast. EZU up next.
9. Kansas
FIWho?
10. Auburn
Would be embarrassing to lose to a team like, Louisiana-Monroe, right?
11. Texas
How many college football teams are there in FL now? 100?
12. Wisconsin
Clearly the 2nd best in the Big10, what ever that's worth
13. Wake Forest The ACC owns the Big12!
14. BYU
PAC10 opponents for the next 2 weeks, then clear sailing to a BCS game
15. Texas Tech
Another Big12 team? @#$% At least they beat someone.
16. bama -
Are they that improved, or is Clemson's OL that bad? I'd say some of both.

Impressive win but how good is UVA and the ACC?
2 Oklahoma
I dock teams points for playing DIAA teams
3 Florida
Hawaii wasn't very good last year and worse this year.
4 Missouri
Picking up where they left off last year, now if they can play with the OU's of the world.
5 Georgia
Ga. Southern has never beaten an DIA opponent, I guess the money is worth the losses and UGA deserves no credit for playing them.
6 Wisconsin
Showdown for Big 10 title will be in Madison Oct. 4 vs. Ohio State.
7 Oregon
Lightning in a bottle, could make some noise in Pac 10.
8 Ohio State
A 3rd shot at a BCSCG will be on the line in two weeks in Los Angeles
9 LSU
Defending National Champ vs DIAA National Champ, anyone think this outcome would be different?
10 Kansas
Won't be tested until week 6 and then the rest of the season could be downhill.
11 Texas
If it weren't for Tennesseans, it would be the University of Mexico - Santa Ana. No way they can claim to be the real UT.
12 Alabama
One of the biggest wins of the weekend. Now how good is Bama and how bad is Clemson.
13 Auburn
The Tigers showed what an SEC team should do to a team nicknamed Warhawks.
14 Arizona State
A lack of a running game will hurt down the road.
15 West Virginia
Playing in the worst BCS conference will make it easy to get to a BCS bowl, but hard to make the BCSCG unless they are perfect.
16 Wake Forest
Do they win the ACC?
