Duke is a 6 point dog in this game, but I don’t see it. These teams are too even and someone likely wins on a FG, but I’ll take Wake to win, but Duke will cover: Wake Forest: 31, Duke: 28
Georgia Tech vs Kansas
Kansas sputtered in their opener, or maybe they didn’t play at all. They’ll be fired up to start, but I think the option gives the Kansas defense some trouble, and the game gets a bit out of hand by the 3rd. Georgia Tech: 41, Kansas: 17
James Madison vs Virginia Tech
VaTech is probably still on ice after the Boise St let down. But they decided to keep this game in Lane Stadium, and win with ease: Virginia Tech: 54, James Madison: 13
Kent State vs Boston College
Boston College looked pretty good, but they need to find a QB, and soon. Kent State though is a pushover, regardless of who is behind center. Boston College: 35, Kent State 17
Presbyterian vs Clemson
How long can Clemson hold onto the rock this game? Who is going to replace Spiller? Should Parker have left for the MLB? 462 yards to North Texas was terrible for this defense, and they recover against Pres who just lost 53-13 to Wake. The defense should still be the big question mark. Clemson: 48, Presbyterian: 17
Morgan State vs Maryland
Maryland bent but didn’t break against Navy. However, the defense was terrible overall, while the offense was non-existent after the first quarter. Morgan St is terrible, and this is a home game, but the defense gives up too many yards to ensure a run-away victory: Maryland: 28, Morgan St:13
North Carolina State vs Central Florida
NC State looked really good, while UCF looked solid, so this is a tough call. NC St played the tougher opponent, and that should bode well, but UCF will keep this really close at home: NC St: 31, UCF:28
Virginia vs Southern California
I want this to be an upset, and lets face it, anyone east of the USC campus wants someone to light a fire under Kiffin’s ass. That said, UVA won it’s opener for the first time in 3 seasons, and while USC is vulnerable in the Pac10, they wont be against a mediocre ACC team. USC: 45, UVA:28
Miami (FL) vs Ohio State
How many times have you heard that the ‘Canes are back? I’d say they are close, but the Shoe is a completely different environment than anything this Miami team has seen before. While Pryor is likely to garner the early attention, it’s OSU’s defense that stakes the Buckeyes to a close victory. OSU: 34, Miami: 28
Florida State vs Oklahoma
FSU looked great in its opener, while OU looked asleep for 3 quarters against Utah St on both sides of the ball. They’ll have a fire lit under them, but Ponder is going be a big play maker and throw his name in the Heisman bowl. FSU: 35, OU: 28
