Go ahead and pencil Ohio State into the national championship game; LSU or Cal will lose. Money's on Cal. B.C.'s the class of the Atlantic division, but won't be a national title threat. Interested to see how Missouri performs in Norman.

Apparently I'm giving more credit based on wins and losses than the AP writers or coaches. I rank 'em high until they lose. So you're welcome USF, Mizzou, ASU, Cincy, and Kansas. Not so fast Hawaii; you're a joke.

What a great set of games from Saturday. South Carolina looking good against Kentucky; LSU finding a way to win against the Gators; USC losing at home ala Michigan; Auburn looking confident against Vandy; Alabama stumbling down the stretch, but winning; and UT putting a beating down on UGA. This weekend brings forth a few crucial conference games: starting with the Noles v Wake on Thursday, LSU v Kentucky, Auburn v Arkansas, Missouri v Oklahoma, and Louisville v Cincinnati.

17) Florida St. - they just missed the cut.
I guess that there is a clear #1 now with LSU, or do we need to start the argument that Cal is "that" good and deserves to be considered as the #1 team in the country? They did however beat a solid Tennessee team.

Ohio State, not LSU, might have the nation's best defense. With USC's loss, Cal suddendly becomes the class of the Pac 10. A [Missouri] win against the Sooners would get the national title talk going. No top five team should come [as] close to losing to Florida Atlantic [as South Florida did].[Florida] is probably one of the five best teams in America. The first rule of fight club is that you don’t lose to Stanford at home. The second rule of fight club is that you don’t lose to Stanford at home.
